Test Technician

We are looking for a Test Technician to join the Systems Test team within the Production Department.
Prime responsibilities include the assembly, test and configuration of telecom systems including PCs and servers.

The successful applicant will have an ONC/OND in Electronic Engineering or similar. The ability to work methodically and systematically when under pressure is essential, as are good communication skills, both written and verbal.  The successful candidate will be joining a small existing team of engineers so the ability to interact and work well within a team environment is important.  The level of supervision over this role is minimal so applicants should also be able to work confidently using their own initiative.

Technical Author / Trainer

A Technical Author / Trainer is required to write, develop and maintain various internal and customer training courses for Telsis as well as to deliver this training in a professional manner.

Key functions for the role include originating and maintaining documentation for Telsis products, which will include instructor led presentations and practical demonstrations / exercises. Carrying out all aspects of customer and internal technical training. Managing the training department diary and resources. Reviewing course evaluation forms to ensure our courses consistently meet our customers’ needs.

The right candidate will be of graduate calibre and ideally have a degree or HND in a computing, telecommunications or other scientific/technical discipline. He or she should have a recognised professional certificate in training and be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce and present learning materials of a very high standard. The successful candidate will be able to show a good level of previous experience working as a Technical Author in the production of training courses and have good technical knowledge of computers and programmable systems.

Technical Author

A Technical Author is required in order to create customer-deliverable technical documentation for Telsis products and applications.

Key functions for this role include originating and maintaining documentation for Telsis products and ongoing releases and reviewing documentation produced by other team members. The role is also responsible for checking technical content and presentation of customer-facing documents and for advising project engineers on usability and documentation issues.

The right candidate will be of graduate calibre and ideally have a degree or HND in computing, telecommunications or other scientific/technical discipline. He or she will need to have strong technical communication skills, be a fast learner and have a general technical knowledge of computers and programmable systems. The successful candidate will also be highly literate with faultless grammar and spelling. He or she should be detail and quality conscious and be able to respond successfully to timescale pressure.

Support Engineer

As a Support Engineer, you will provide all forms of customer technical support for our products via remote diagnostics or through attending customer premises. You will visit customer sites for both pre and post-installation related work and must be ready and able to take part in the 24x7 duty rota. You will deal with installation, commissioning and post-sales maintenance of products, as well as providing other related services such as customer training. You will have the opportunity for international travel to visit some of the leading pioneers of telecom technology around the world.

You will be working extensively with external customers to ensure that installations are completed in an expedient manner, liasing with internal technical staff in order to fulfil customer technical requirements and rectify faults. You will also provide technical support to our in-country support teams.

You will posses an Engineering or Electronics related degree or HND and have a logical approach to problem solving. A knowledge of electronic testing, including trouble-shooting to component level would be an advantage. This position is extremely customer orientated, so an articulate manner will be essential, along with the ability to liase with customers at a high level of technical competency. You will also be a strong team player, outgoing and communicative, and able to juggle several demands at the same time in a high-pressured environment. Due to the travel element of this role, all applicants must have a full driving licence and valid passport with no restrictions to travel worldwide.
