SMS Fake Protection
SMS Fake Fraud Protection protects the network against Mobile Terminated messages that have been sent from a fake originating address. These messages, which are typically spam or phishing, are fraudulent and cannot be billed correctly, often causing disputes between the targeted network and the apparent origination. |

SMS Spoof Protection
SMS Spoof Fraud Protection protects the network against Mobile Originated message that have been spoofed such that they appear to originate from roaming customers. These messages often contain spam and will cause the person that has been spoofed to be billed for messages that they have not sent. |

SMS Malware Protection
SMS Malware Protection protects users against messages that have been specially encoded to attack vulnerabilities in various handsets. Examples of such messages include the Nokia Curse of Silence message for Symbian handsets and unauthorised OTA updates that affect some Windows Phones. Additionally, other malware infects the handset to, for example, send messages to premium rate short codes. SMS Malware Protection allows blocking of message based on the values of various signalling parameters and addresses. |

SMS Rate Protection
SMS Rate Protection is used to identify and block messages from SMSCs and handsets that are sending messages at abnormal rates, which may indicate that the SMSC or the SIM in the mobile device may have been compromised and is being used for malicious or criminal activities. |

SMS Address Verification
Address Verification prevents Mobile Terminated messages that should have been sent from an on-net SMSC originating from a foreign network. Such messages often have a spoofed originating address, or use a short code that should only have been sent from an on-net service provider. Such messages are often sent for malicious or fraudulent purposes, and may be used to create false mobile payments. |

Telsis SMS Alpha Address Protection validates the originating address for off-net originated Mobile Terminated messages, detecting any messages that appear to come from alphanumeric addresses. Upon detection, appropriate action is taken. |
