Telsis ISR with SMS Grooming reduces SMSC loading and enables the generation of greater revenues by delivering SMS voting and other messages directly to host applications.

Messages are filtered (groomed), and delivered via a dedicated SMS Interface Gateway, providing a critical step towards fulfilling the potential of mass SMS voting. Network capacity is maximised without further capital expenditure and every participant knows immediately that their vote or competition entry has been received and registered. Revenues and audience satisfaction increase.

One operator deployed Telsis ISR with SMS Grooming and saw its national ranking for the number of SMS Voting messages handled improve from fifth to second.

Application designers can choose the appropriate delivery model for their service:

Transaction Management Model

The model for e-payments applications and others where immediacy is essential. Messages are either delivered immediately, or rejected if the destination handset is not available. Service providers receive immediate notification of successful message delivery, or the reason for non-delivery, giving them complete control.

Forward or Store Model

The model for services when the time of delivery is not critical. Messages are delivered immediately or stored for later delivery if the destination handset is not available. Service providers receive notification of completed deliveries.
