Regional data, communications and cable TV provider NetCologne has chosen to deploy Telsis’ latest next generation telephony service layer into its network.
Telsis updated NetCologne’s telephony service layer with its latest release of the Ocean Services Platform to allow it take advantage of its latest next generation service technology.
Built around a next generation service delivery core, the latest version of the Ocean Services Platform adds support for webRTC, http, diameter and TR Notruf 2.0 emergency call regulations.
Quick and easy to deploy, the OSP is currently supporting commercial services with a wide range of German operators, including EWE, VSE NET, wilhelm.tel and M-net. Unlike alternatives, the Ocean OSP enables multiple data intensive services to be run simultaneously, including number portability, intelligent call routing, hosted PBX and multi-channel contact centre services. The platform is also equipped with its own drag-and-drop service creation environment enabling the fast creation of custom services by telcos’ own staff independently from Telsis.
Christian Jansen, Head of Problem Management & Second Level Maintenance for NetCologne commented: “Having had a successful working relationship with Telsis since 2005, we decided to work with them to deploy an evolved service layer. The deployment of this new service layer went smoothly and we are working to deploy new services that take advantage of the new capabilities that are available to us.”
Peter Ritzmann, Managing Director of Telsis GmbH commented: “With the upgrade, all of our German customers have migrated to use our latest NGN technology. Although some of our customers run services developed for our legacy platforms, their decision to embrace our new technology demonstrates our commitment to providing industry leading solutions into the German market.”
